Purple katan silk banarasi handwoven saree
In the Roman social hierarchy, the aristocrats wore a purple cloth around themselves to show their status. This was largely due to the lack of availability of purple dye. Even after the collapse of the Roman social hierarchy and government with the establishment of the papacy, the idea of purple being royal colour stayed on.
A purple katan silk tanchoi saree with antique zari buttas in the Royal purple colour.
Tanchoi are silk on silk brocades with an extra weft silk for the patterning. Saris are in pastel colours, often with a monochrome effect. Finer, smaller patterns usually cover the entire surface.
Dry clean only.
As this is handwoven, some irregularities are common.
Fall, pico can be done if required. Please add 2-3 days extra for that.
